Introducing a model regarding adverse childhood experiences and how to ensure their effects are mitigated
The Yancey Alliance for Young Children would like to thank the nearly 70 community members that attended our program this past week at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Burnsville. Parents, relatives, program providers, and advocates for children’s needs heard presentations regarding the purpose for and objectives of the YAY Children initiative. Our next focus will be to coordinate the efforts of agencies and citizens across the county, so that we achieve the systemic changes needed to ensure that our children are prepared for school and future life success through the strong support of their families and communities via quality care and learning experiences. We welcome your continued participation in upcoming community discussions on early childhood issues, thank you for supporting community policies and programs that recognize all children need good health, strong families, and high quality early learning experiences during their early years to be most successful in school and in life, and for being a voice for those individuals that are too small for us to let fail. YAY Children!
